I’ve been trying out the More Nutrition Dark Cookie Crumble Protein Iced Coffee, thanks to Samplico for providing two packets to review and honestly, it’s one of the few protein drinks I’ve had that actually feels like a treat instead of just a shake.
The flavour’s really nice, smooth, properly chocolatey, and it even has real cookie pieces in it. You can actually taste the little crunchy bits, which gives it more of a dessert vibe than your usual plain protein powder.
It also has a small caffeine kick (around 27 mg per 100 ml), so it works well as a mid-day pick-me-up. I like that it doesn’t taste fake or overly sweet like some low-sugar drinks do.
🩸 Type 2 Diabetic-Friendly?
I’m type 2 diabetic, so I’m pretty careful with what I drink. I’ve found this one sits really well with me, no crazy sugar spikes, and it’s filling enough to stop me from reaching for snacks. As long as you mix it with something low-carb like unsweetened almond milk, it fits perfectly into a diabeticfriendly plan.
Everyone’s body reacts differently, but personally, I’ve had zero issues with this one.
👍 What I Liked
Taste is smooth, chocolatey, and feels like an actual treat.
You get 19 g of protein per serving.
Low in sugar and carbs, so great for anyone watching blood sugar.
The real cookie bits make it more interesting to drink.
👎 What Could Be Better
If you like super-smooth shakes, the cookie crumbs might not be for you.
Still uses sweeteners, so not 100% “natural”.
On the pricier side compared to basic protein powders.
💬 Final Thoughts
If you want a protein drink that actually tastes good and doesn’t wreck your diet, this is a great shout. It’s one of the few I’ve had that I’d happily drink again just for the flavour. For anyone diabetic or just trying to cut down on sugar, I’d say More Nutrition Dark Cookie Crumble is definitely worth trying. It feels more like a guilt-free dessert than a protein shake.
