A Relaxing Coffee Stop at The Beach House in Whitley Bay
If you’re looking for a cosy coastal café in Whitley Bay, The Beach House is one of those places that instantly puts you at ease. I stopped by to meet some friends, and from the moment I walked in, it felt like I was on a mini seaside escape, laid-back atmosphere, stylish décor, and unbeatable views of the North East coastline.
Great Coffee, Tasty Food, and the Perfect Seaside Setting
I ordered a ham and cheese croissant (because who can resist flaky pastry and melted cheese?) along with a smooth iced latte. The croissant was warm, golden, and generously filled, comfort food done right and my go to when ordering in any cafe. The iced latte was refreshing and just what you want on a breezy warm day by the sea. Honestly, you can never go wrong with an iced latte.
We managed to snag a table outside, which made our catch-up even better. Sitting there with good coffee, good company, and the sea breeze drifting by felt like the perfect reset. Even the local birds seemed to be enjoying themselves at the next table, surprisingly well-behaved and not remotely interested in stealing our food!
A Dog-Friendly Spot by the Coast
One thing I really love about The Beach House is that it’s dog-friendly. My friend brought her pup along, and he had the best time being treated to his own little puppachino. Judging by how quickly he polished it off, it’s safe to say it earned a solid five-paw rating. I would take Millie here but she might eat everyone and everything, saying that though she does get overwhelmed in new places and is on her best behaviour.
Friendly Staff and a Relaxed Atmosphere
The Beach House has that rare balance of being relaxed without trying too hard. The staff were warm and welcoming, the food hit the spot, and it’s the kind of café where you can drop in for a quick coffee or settle in for a slow brunch with friends.
Final Thoughts: Is The Beach House Worth a Visit?
Absolutely. The Beach House in Whitley Bay gets a big thumbs up from me and my friends. Whether you’re popping in for a pastry, grabbing a coffee with friends, or enjoying a dog-friendly day out by the sea, it’s well worth a visit.
If you’re ever in Whitley Bay, go for the views, stay for the croissant and maybe bring a mate (furry or otherwise) for the perfect seaside catch-up.
