The Clinique almost lipstick is a classic. People have been wearing this since the 80s and now it's a makeup staple with the hype from social media. It combines the benefits of a lipstick, lipbalm and gloss. The coverage is sheer so that dark colour is nothing to be worried about.
The almost lipstick is famous for its chamelon like ability to suit all skin tones, yet look different on everyone. The shade enhances the natural tones of your lips to create a tint that is uniquely yours.
The almost lipstick slightly moistured my lips but it didn't dry them out unlike some reviews had stated and it gave them a bigger look, its subtle but it's enhanced my natural lip tone which become a bit of a darker pink. I've got a very fair complexion so it did stand out a bit more but it didn't make my lips look vampy. As it's a sheer colour, apply it a few times to get more pigment to your liking.
The staying power doesn't last long and does need a top up. It also comes off if you are drinking from cups or wipe it with fingers. From reading other reviews on the clinique website, it is harder to see any difference if you have a darker skintone, so bare that in mind.
If you like subtle shades that enhance your lips then this is for you but with a hefty price tag of £24, it might be worth while finding a cheaper dupe. As it also enhances your natural lip tone, the colour might not show up as you would expect it to, so keep that in mind as well. What works well on your neighbours lips might not suit your lips.
Over rall I give this product a 3/5 stars.
